Oh, I forgot. I also asked Demilich what they think of bands that pull from their style like Chthe'ilist. It was really hard to understand the lead singer’s accent, but I think he said something like he likes them but the band said they pulled more from another band. I don’t fucking know dude, there’s no way they pulled from anyone else but Demilich. But yeah it was super difficult to understand Demilich’s Finnish accents.

Disembowelment, Timeghoul, Demilich, and Gorguts is what Blood Incantation sound like.Seriously, it takes a pretty hardcore sound for a band to be living up to the classics. That is why Blood Incantation is my favorite. It’s the sort of thing that makes you wish you could re-live the experience of shitting around with them eating dinner a dozen times.

So the questions I asked blood incantation were whether it was easy to get weed on tour, what literature influenced them, why they went vegan, how they remember songs that are over 10 minutes long, whether they like noise, and I asked them if it was pretty sick to be touring with demilich. I also told them that mixing whisky and tea makes it hella hard to sleep. The lead singer of Demilich, Antii Boman loved my post on the concert promoters facebook post about how it was the most legendary concert I’ve ever been to, and how Blood Incantation and Demilich are my favorite death metal bands. Haha that’s sick. The guys in Demilich are great. One thing I like about them is they’re unpretentious and they have a sense of humor. Every time I see the Demilich guys they are making jokes, which I think is awesome. Very approachable. I really get the sense from Blood Incantation that they are very anti social and sort of perpetually pissed off at everything. Which is fine, they’re a death metal band.(edited)One of the guys from Blood Incantation was wearing a Qrixkuor shirt. I’ll have to check that band out.If you look at Antii Boman’s facebook page, it’s filled with jokes. The riffs of that concert are still echoing through my fucking head. I’m still reliving that fucking drop at the end of Sixteenth Six-Tooth.The moshing, holy shit.I have literally never been to a concert as insane as that concert.I have also never been exhausted by a concert. It wasn’t that I injured myself physically at that concert. Physically I’m fine. My neck is a little sore. It’s the mental aspect of it. Being at a concert for 4 hour straight, helping set up for another 4 hours, headbanging basically the whole time, the extreme heat, the moshing, the excitement, the beer and coffee I drank (which I am very sensitive to). I literally had to lay on a futon at my friend’s house for several hours in mental anguish before I could finally fall asleep.Because it was just so fucking intense.

I asked demilich “doesn’t hypothermia send out tapes with their blood on them?” And one guy was like yeah, a couple bands do that. And I said to demilich’s lead singer “those guys in hypothermia, I worry about them” and he thought that was funny. But he said they’re super nice guys.
I feel like I have way more stuff to talk about with blood incantation. I just don’t have much to ask demilich.
I feel like sitting next to them would just be weird. They’re legends, I told them they’re super original and I’ve listened to nespithe like 50 times and saw them at maryland deathfest. They seemed to appreciate that, made them smile.
